Prizes and scholarships
The administrative board and management of the school take steps to receive prizes and scholarships and production scholarships for the students from foundations, institutions and personas in Israel and abroad. The scholarships and prizes for 2011/12 are in the range of 450,000 NIS.

School scholarships and its donors
Channel 10 foundation
Channel 10 has taken under its wing the school for 2007 and 2008. The channel will screen the schools films in two broadcasting seasons and award each year 50,000 NIS for scholarships to excelling students struggling with financing their studies.

Arrison foundation
In 2007/8 the Arrison foundation awards 90,000 NIS in scholarships for students having difficulties financing their studies and productions.

The Ostrovsky foundation, Paris
Ostrovsky (Paris) scholarships are the contribution of the Ostrovsky family awarded directly to the third and fourth year films in order to reduce production costs applicable to the student.

The Jacob Berin foundation
An annual scholarship fund at the sum of 30,000 NIS in memory of Jacob Berin, who was of senior staff of the Israeli marketplace: the first CEO of the ministry of trade and industry, manager of Shupersal, chairman of the board of "Osem". Berin loved the plastic arts, supported them and fought for peace.

Keren Rich foundation
The foundations scholarships totaling at $10,000 in NIS, are awarded in 2007 to underprivileged students and students of the enterprising production program.

Edelshtein foundation
In 2003 the foundation for Jerusalem began its distribution tradition of scholarships in memory of Louis Edelshtein for selected students in the fine arts schools in Jerusalem in return for community work by the students. In the current school year, scholarship range is at 45,000 NIS.

Michaela foundation
Beginning with 2005 the foundation has started awarding annual scholarships of 27,000 NIS as support for the students in the screenwriters program.

Draco foundation
Draco, the importer of editing non-linear equipment AVID , awards annual scholarships for the students of the school beginning in 1997 at the sum of $1,5000 in NIS.

Israeli theaters company scholarships
The Israeli theaters company who owns and operates the national cinema chain "Rav-Chen", awards the students of the school beginning with 2003, annual scholarships for the sum of 10,000 NIS.

Yosef Gadish scholarship
Beginning with 1998 the school award a scholarship for 8,000 NIS donated by Yoram Gadish, in memory of his father Yosef Gadish, formerly the mayor of Akko and deputy mayor of Jerusalem.

The foundation for promotion of Israeli cinema
Starting with 1993 the foundation for the promotion of Israeli cinema established by the cinema owners association, awards a scholarship of 5,000 NIS for an excelling student.

Exterior scholarships
The America-Israel culture foundation
At the end of every school year, the school submits the students as candidates for an excellence scholarship by the America-Israel culture foundation. Accumulative experience demonstrates that each year 20% of the schools students in year two – five win the excellence scholarship of the foundation.

Gross foundation
The Gross foundation awards substantial scholarship for financial support, living and accommodations for the students of higher education, who served their full tour in the army and their release date is up to 3 years before starting their studies. Applications are submitted directly to the foundation by the students.

Impact foundation
Impact foundation awards every year tuition scholarships at the sum of $4,000. In 2007/8 the scholarships are awarded to two students.

Prizes for the schools students
Every year the school awards its students and graduates prizes in the range of 200,000 NIS. The prizes are distributed on the central annual nights of the school.

Graduation nights of the school
The festive graduation nights of every class are held after the completion of graduation films, after four and a half years of studying. The first nights are held at the Jerusalem Cinematheque and are followed by an additional night in Tel-Aviv intended for the film and television personnel. During graduation nights, the school awards its graduates a number of prizes:
The "Stella Artois" excellency award for students. The Stella Artois Company has taken under its wing the graduation nights of the school and awards a central prize for the excelling student of the class in the sum of 25,000 NIS. The Award winner for 2007:Tom Shoval.
The Jerusalem foundation prize in memory of Magda Meir for best film.
Starting with the first graduation night of the school the prize is awarded for the best film of the year. The prize at the sum of 5,000 NIS is the contribution of Magda Meir son, Mr. Rafael Pastor and his wife Marina. The winning film for 2007- "Petach Tikva". Director: Tom Shoval, Producer: Gal Grinshpan.
The Jerusalem economic company prize is awarded for the film in second place.
The Jerusalem economic company awards beginning with 2003 an annual prize of 10,000 NIS for the film in second place. The winning film for 2007 – "Anthem". Director: Elad Kidan.
July-August productions prize
The July August production company awards a prize of 5,000 NIS for the film in third place. The winning film for 2007: "Meluchia". Director: Asaf Lapid.

NDF production company Munich for the most promising talent
NDF through the Jerusalem foundation, awards, starting with 2004 an annual prize for the most promising talent in the field of directing of 2,500 Euro. The winner for 2007: Or Shulman.
NDF Munich prize for the excelling graduate.
Starting with 2004, NDF is awarding a prestigious prize for the excelling graduate which includes 2,500 Euro, a plane ticket to Munich, and six weeks stay and internship at the fine school for cinema in Munich. The winner for 2007: Avisag Leibovitch.

The Vim Vaughn Lear prize
The prize of 4,000 NIS is the contribution of Leigh Vaghn Lear, in memory of her husband Vim Vaughn Lear, her partner is establishing the Cinematheque, entrepreneur, producer and friend to the school. The prize in 2007 is given for unique contribution to class spirit to Dudi Asulin.

The Delta film prize
Delta film company, importer of Kodak films, awards beginning with 1992, a prize for the excelling graduate for his work in photography and a rare ability to draw with light. The prize is raw materials by Kodak worth $1,500.

Elka Einor Prize for Cinematography
AIR ON equipment rentals company awards beginning with 2008 a prize for the excelling photographer: equipment worth $1,500 for photography. The prize is in memory of film editor Elka Einor.
D.B studios prize for the best soundtrack
Beginning with 2007, D.B studios , the leading sound studios for cinema in Israel, award a prize for the film creating an option into the world of sound: editing free of charge of the winning film and mixing it.

EDIT company prize for best editor
Beginning with 2008, EDIT company awards a substantial number of editing shifts for the best editor of the year.
Prizes of the screenwriters program
Yahav bank prize in memory of Uzi Rave for the best screenwriting graduate. Uzi Rave, the former Yahav bank manager, was an active member in the administrative board of the school and acted as chairman of the finance committee for 12 years. Yahav bank is awarding in his name a prize of 7,000 NIS for the excelling student in the screenwriting program. The winner for 2007: Avishay Dadon-Rave.

HOT prize for developing a TV series
A 6,000 NIS prize for developing a TV series is awarded for a chosen series as written during the second year. The judging panel includes representatives of the school and HOT. The winners for 2007: Lee Gilat, Sara Gilam.

The channel 10 prize for television drama in memory of Yohana Ferner.
Yohana Ferner of the founders of channel 10, acted as a member in the administrative board of the school in its designing years. A 5,000 NIS prize is awarded in her memory to a student from the screenwriting program for a drama script for television. The winner for 2007: Lee Gilat.
The second authority prize for TV and radio for developing a documentary project
The second authority for TV and radio awards the graduating students of the Directors program and in the screenwriting program a 5,000 NIS prize for developing a documentary project. The winner for 2007: Hili Ashker.

The Zach Gordon prize
Zach Gordon was killed in a car accident in 1998. His father the American-Israeli screenwriter Dan Gordon, has set up the Zach Gordon institute in Sedona, Arizona. Beginning with 2004 he is awarding annual scholarships in his memory for the excelling students in the screenwriting program. The prize was not awarded in 2007.
The Israeli cinema foundation prize for developing a full length feature film
The foundation awards an annual prize of 4,000 NIS for treatment of a full length film written by a student in the screenwriting program. The winner for 2007: Sara Gilam.

The annual night in memory of Galit Rosen
The night which is held every year, is held in memory of Galit Rosen RIP, a student of the fourth class of the school. Galit was killed in the bombing of the number 5 bus on October 19th, 1994, the eve of her third school year. The school treasures her memory and holds an annual night of screening first films (years 3 and 4) and awarding scholarships for excelling students that contribute to school spirit:
The America-Israel foundation prize in memory of Galit Rosen
Beginning with 1994 the America-Israel foundation has awarded a special 4,000 NIS scholarship for "poetic ability, artistic exploration and excellence" in Galits' memory who won the excellence scholarship by the foundation twice.

The Sharon Amrani foundation prize
On the 15th night of the school, Nir Bergman won the Lottery institute prize for his film "Walrus", which was declared that night as the best film of the school. Nir decided to donate the full amount of 50,000 NIS in memory of his classmate Sharon Amrani, who drowned at the beach in Tel-Aviv in September 2000. The annual prize is 50,000 NIS.

Elisha Harkevi prize
In August 2003, Elisha Harkevi who finished his first year in the screenwriting program was killed in a shooting accident. His mother, Hedva Harkevi, awards an annual scholarship in his memory for an excellent student in the screenwriting program.
The giving prize in memory of Bilha Davies
Bilha Davies has acted since the beginning of the 90's as coordinator of the scholarship for Sharet/America-Israel culture foundations. In that capacity, she has assisted every year hundred of student of every art field, including the students of the school. As appreciation of her dedicated generous work, the Avinoam Finkelman and the school, award annual scholarships.

The David Shapira production prize
Since 2003 Dalia and Guy Shapira have been awarding annual scholarships in the range of 10,000 NIS in memory of the producer and distributor David Shapira, a member of the general assembly of the school and loyal friend to Israeli cinema. The scholarships are awarded to excelling students in the production field.

Draco prize – internship in England for the students of enterprising production

Beginning with 2008 the Draco company, importer of AVID equipment is awarding an internship scholarship in a leading production house in England, for an excelling student in the enterprising production program. The $2,500 scholarship is used for a plane ticket and a two months stay and work in London.

The Carol Polakoff prize – internship in England for enterprising production students.
The director-producer Carol Polakoff (Paris/New-York) is awarding beginning with 2008 an internship scholarship at a leading production house in England for an excelling student of the enterprising production program. The $2,500 scholarship is used for a plane ticket and a two months stay and work in London.
