Nevo Shirazi and Nir Guilat won four prizes at NYC Shorts


Graduation films by Nevo Shirazi and Nir Guilat took four major prizes at NYC Shorts.

Treat My Mother Right, by Shirazi won best student film as well as the audience choice award.



Nir Guilat's film, Supporting Role, won best comedy and the audience choice award.

Both filmmakers were in attendance.

James Pellerito, artistic director of the festival had this to say:

"It was such a pleasure to have Nir and Nevo at the festival. They were fantastic in the Q&As and represented your program so well. We were thrilled to screen your films.
each film won the audience award for their program and Treat My Mother Right won Best Student Short and Supporting Role won Best Comedy Short! There must be something in the water where you are that you produce wonderful films and filmmakers"
