The feature film Asia, by alumna Ruthy Pribar, won the Israeli Academy Awards- the Ophir Prize, and will be Israel's representative to the Academy Awards, 2021.
Starring Shira Haas, Asia premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival where it won the best editing award. Asia is a female directed film, produced by JSFS alumni Aurit Zamir and Yoav Roeh, and edited by - Netta Dvorkis, who also won the Ophir Prize for editing. In total, Asia , which was developed through the Sam Spiegel First Feature initiative, won nine Ophir Prizes.
The Ophir Prize was also given to alum Nir Bergman for best direction for his Cannes 2020 film This is Us. That film won four Ophir Prizes.
